7 Years warranty on the probe !

New warranty from April 1, 2023:

The QP015-UDP-SiC-LT probe is covered by a seven-year warranty. During this period, products that prove to be defective will, at the discretion of Arenal Mining & Dredging B.V., be either repaired or replaced, without charge.

The 7 years warranty is only valid when the following conditions apply:

1. If the sensor wears off and if it is impossible to recalibrate in the field.

Explanation: Wear does not happen with silicon carbide. But if it happens, the erosion will be only nanometers and it has no influence on the performance of the sensor results. In normal slurry applications wear does not take place. In special high abrassive applications, wear can exists, but does not have influence on normal use, a new water calibration may be needed. In case the sensor was not flush mount, but penetrated more than 3 mm in the slurry, the side impact of the slurry could chip off some parts of the sensor tip and may couse eventually further erosion. The warranty does not cover this: the sensor should have been retracted on time to prevent chipping off.

2.  If the sensor is purchased directly from Arenal Mining & Dredging B.V. or from their authorized reseller.

Explanation: Authorized resellers are mentions on the website at the moment of purchase. If you purchase a Arenal Mining & Dredging B.V. product from an unauthorized reseller, like an EPC contractor or a procurement office, you will not receive 7 years warranty or technical support.

The 7 years product warranty and guarantee does not cover damage caused by abnormal storage conditions, incorrect use, accidental misuse, abuse, neglect, misapplication or modification. No warranty of fitness for a particular purpose is offered and the user assumes the entire risk of using the product. Any liability by Arenal Mining & Dredging B.V. is limited only to the replacement of defective materials or workmanship, and Arenal Mining & Dredging B.V. accepts no responsibility for consequential loss. In line with our policy of continuous development, we reserve the right to amend our product specifications without prior notice.
